Delirium

 Dear Diary,

I saw something. I saw something in my backyard yesterday, an odd figurine.
It was 5 pm, in our town its blackout by that time. I came back home from my friend’s house; my house was empty. I moved a few things into our living room and just got toast on my plate. I put on some music in the echo-y house “Dream a little Dream of Me” by Louis Amstrong and felt as if I was being watched by someone from our window, so I peeked and saw an abnormal-looking man who disappeared away in a flash. That agitated me. Yet I ignored that and carried away to my room upstairs, from which I was petrified to look. my room was painted in red, and my floor was covered in fluids. There was an obscene number of bandages and a pungent smell coming from my bathroom. As I opened it and saw a dead body. I immediately ran downstairs to call for help. As I dialed, all the lights went off. I could no longer feel my presence, I felt muffled under a woolen quilt that was then thrown into the sea and just as immediately I felt goosebumps all over my face. It was as if I was obstructed from dying or perhaps was it a panic attack?

I ran away from the phone to the main gate, I couldn’t open the door, it was locked and then suddenly, automatically the tv switched on with loud crackling and hissing while overlapping the endless loop of “Dream a little Dream of Me”. I was dozing off, yet I don’t know why I deliberately started focusing on the static and now I could no longer hear the music, but I could see images drawing from the static. Horrifying images. I saw things I didn’t even want to remember. I was zoned back in with the clock ticking. It was 6 pm now, and the time was running slow. I could feel goosebumps all over again, or maybe they never even left but now I was in more horror than before. I couldn’t wrap my head around the haunting absurdity that was happening. I was feeling dizzy and got knocked out for a while. But it wasn’t a while, it was midnight now and my parents were still not home. And when I was trying to stand up, I saw stars as they say. But then I saw literal ones, I felt as if the whole universe came down on me and they were going to suck me in. Then there was a black hole, and I was slowly drifting apart from the real world, and I saw that same abnormal-looking man pulling me away.
